Digital Signs / Vinyl Signs

coroplast signs | JPS Signs, Saint John, NB

Digitally Printed Signs

These signs are created with a 4 colour process. They can include text and full colour pictures and graphics. Tell us what size you need the sign and where you're planning to use it and we can recommend the appropriate backing or substrate.

Vinyl Cut Signs

These signs are die cut from vinyl and attached to a backing. Vinyl signs can include solid colour graphics and several colours but are commonly used for 2-3 colour signs. Vinyl signs are long lasting. Reflective vinyl can also be used to enhance visibility at night.

Backings

When it comes to digitally printed signs or vinyl cut signs, we have a variety of backings (substrates) to choose from.

We've grouped the most common substrates on a "flexible to rigid scale" to help you see the difference.

If you prefer, call us at 506-648-9208 and tell us what you plan to use the sign for and we can recommend the substrates that best match the sign's purpose.

Flexible

Polystyrene or Styrene

Polystyrene is flexible plastic. Ideal for small signs - where you don't need rigid backing.

Semi Rigid

Coroplast

Coroplast is corrugated plastic - a plastic version of cardboard. Our customers use coroplast as backing for their signs because it is inexpensive yet still provides a rigid, lightweight, fairly durable surface. Great for short term signage!

Sintra or Komatex

Sintra is PVC solid plastic. It comes in a several thickness 3mm-12mm. This sign substrate is more rigid and durable than Coroplast. Our customers use this material for long term indoor and outdoor signage.

Rigid

Alupanel or Dibond

Alupanel is aluminum sheet with a polyethylene center. This material is durable and rigid. Our customers use this material both indoors and outside.
